Our flagship school, École Natangué opened in 2008 as a preschool and has since expanded to a 600-student school providing education through to grade 6.
Natangué means “blossoming” in the local Wolof language.
École Natangué contains six large elementary school classrooms, three kindergarten classrooms, administrative offices, clean flush toilets, a library, kitchen, and computer room. Students are offered courses in French and Arabic, and the school is overseen by the National Ministry of Education. We also open our doors to the community with classes for adult women who didn’t get a chance to receive a primary education.
Students in the kindergarten are offered a hearty lunchtime meal cooked in our kitchen.
